JQH Arena is consisted of 9,637 chairback seats, 114 loge seating, twenty two private suites, while it reserves 122 seats for disabled visitors. And the capacity of the arena in concerts is 10,542 seats. The arena is named after John Q. Hammons, a hotel developer who made a donation of about million to construct the facility. The musical band Eagles performed at the opening ceremony November, 2008 with attendance of 10,550 people.

The Christian rock band Casting Crowns made appearance at the arena in December 2, 2008. The MercyMe band performed at the arena in April 2009 and February 2001. The country music singer Carrie Underwood stopped by the arena 2 times, one in June 2010 and the other in October 2012. Comedy shows also appeared at the arena including Larry the Cable Guy who performed a show at the arena in May 2009 and Jeff Dunham March 2010.

In 2011, the schedule of the arena was busy and a variety of artists have performed there. For instance, Rascal Flatts and Chris Young performed in March 2011, Francesca Battistelli made appearance in April 2, and later in April Elton John was hosted and by the end of April Celtic Woman stopped by the arena. In June, Michael Bublé performance was hosted at the Q, and by the end of the year Miranda Lambert showed in October and Third Day in November. A variety of artists performed at the arena including for example Zac Brown Band, Bob Dylan, Keith Urban, James Taylor and the list goes long.
